The 150th anniversary of the only major Civil War battle to have been fought in Fairfax County, Virginia.

I cannot explain the pull I feel to the fields of Manassas, only that it has been strong since childhood. I cannot fully explain the feeling I get as I wander those fields, only that I know I do not walk alone. I cannot explain how I know that I am protected there, only that I am.

St. Anne's School, Santa Monica, CA

The school is attached to the St. Anne's Catholic Church & Shrine.

I literally drove around the block to get a photo of this fabulous structure. I was absolutely enamored with the mid-century Mondrianesque windows. ENAMORED. And the shrubbery?! Perfection.
