2nd Manassas. Sesquicentennial.

I cannot explain the pull I feel to the fields of Manassas, only that it has been strong since childhood. I cannot fully explain the feeling I get as I wander those fields, only that I know I do not walk alone. I cannot explain how I know that I am protected there, only that I am.

St. Anne's School, Santa Monica, CA

The school is attached to the St. Anne's Catholic Church & Shrine.

I literally drove around the block to get a photo of this fabulous structure. I was absolutely enamored with the mid-century Mondrianesque windows. ENAMORED. And the shrubbery?! Perfection.

Phillips Chapel CME Church, Santa Monica, CA

Apparently my proprioceptive view shed was attuned to the East Coast. We don't have palm trees in Virginia! (Seriously, this made me laugh for two days.)

Calvary Baptist Church, Santa Monica, CA

Randy's Donuts, Inglewood, CA

It's historic. I was wandering. It gets to go on the blog. Mmmmmmm donuts.
